The formula used for pricing is 40% Quality + 30% Material Cost + 30% Time = Product/Service Pricing.  Quality plays a big part in determining pricing.

Any adjustment in the material costs and time factors will result in either higher or lower quality.  You can price your experience fairly but if the quality of the materials used is poor then the level of overall quality falls.   If you price a product to take three hours and it actually takes six then the overall quality of the product or service will lower when an attempt to true up the time to a shorter timeframe, or the product or service is not delivered on time.
